SAUDI ARABIA, MARBLE AND GRANITE INTERNATIONAL IN JEDDAH, Innovative Water Recycling Plant

22/11/2025

MARBLE AND GRANITE INTERNATIONAL, one of the largest and most important Companies in the world for marble and granite processing, has expanded its new production unit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, by installing a series of state-of-the-art machines for natural stone processing.
For the water treatment and sludge dehydration plant, MARBLE AND GRANITE INTERNATIONAL relied on the expertise of FRACCAROLI E BALZAN, which, built on more than fifty years of experience, designed, built, and installed an efficient and modern system that represents the state of the art in the waste water treatment sector.
The plant consists of a dedicated circuit for treating waste water collected from various production halls. It includes decanters, Filterpress, storage tanks for clarified water, and pumping units to return clean water to the production lines.
The line is equipped with pumps for transferring the waste water to the decanters, an automatic flocculant station, and pneumatic discharge systems for discharging liquid sludge from the decanter cones.
Concerning the slurry dehydration, the liquid sludge is collected in a homogenization tank and, through a centrifugal pump, fed into a filter press model FB/1000-15 (15 plates, plate size 1.000 x 1000 mm), which ensures efficient sludge dehydration and minimal residual moisture.
The plant features advanced control systems for optimizing the dosage of chemical products and ensuring the high quality of the treated water.
Moreover, the system operates in a fully automatic and optimized mode, thanks to a customized PLC control management.
Qualified personnel of FRACCAROLI E BALZAN has taken care of the installation and the startup of the plant, as well as the setup of all parameters for an efficient plant functioning and the training of local staff.
To sum up, this is a new reference of absolute prestige in addition to thousands more installed all around the world produced by FRACCAROLI E BALZAN during its history.
