Fraccaroli e Balzan S.p.A. is a company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and technical support of systems for the treatment of wastewater and industrial sludge, as well as industrial machinery for cutting and processing stone materials.
The company’s experience and in-depth knowledge of the sector enable it to provide customers with high-quality professional solutions.
In line with its strategic direction and with the aim of achieving an effective and efficient organisation capable of meeting the needs and expectations of interested parties, the company has established, implemented and continually improves an integrated management system for quality and environmental management.
This approach, initiated in 2005, enables the organisation to:

Determine and monitor current and future needs and meet the expectations of customers and interested parties (stakeholders);

Determine and monitor potential business risks as well as development and improvement opportunities;

Ensure:
- Appropriate and ongoing training for all internal and external personnel in relation to their roles and responsibilities
- The involvement and consultation of personnel at all levels as a fundamental element for the continual improvement of the organisation, its processes and services
- The daily pursuit of refining the management tool adopted in order to effectively achieve such involvement and contribute to the improvement of the product and the required service
- That ideas and suggestions for improvement are encouraged at all times
- The application of the principle “Quality means doing the right things right first time”, recognising that greater initial effort reduces the need for corrective actions over time
- That Top Management, taking into account customer and market requirements, defines on an annual basis a Company Improvement Plan aimed at reducing environmental impacts, setting corporate and individual objectives which each Manager develops and achieves within their respective areas of responsibility and competence
Top Management considers it essential to ensure:
- The development, involvement and enhancement of personnel in order to fully utilise their capabilities
- That business decisions are based on the analysis of reliable data and on the continual monitoring and evaluation of the organisation’s context, as well as potential risks and opportunities
- Flexibility in responding to the requirements of customers and interested parties
- Accurate and up-to-date technical support in line with developments in the sector and the latest innovative application technologies, with support from an internal laboratory for wastewater analysis and sludge filtration testing
- Continual research and systematic selection make it possible to ensure a high level of confidence in the selection process, based on high quality standards, a broad product range and product reliability
- Continual attention to and prevention of occupational health issues and work-related diseases, as well as the protection of the health and safety of its employees and contractors
- Environmental protection and the prevention of pollution
- Careful and continual monitoring of environmental impacts arising from the organisation’s activities
- The promotion of environmental awareness throughout the organisation, respect for the environment, reduction of resource consumption, prevention of any form of waste, and proper identification of waste within the organisation by all personnel
- Compliance with applicable legal requirements and other requirements across all relevant areas, including environmental requirements
- A focus on the prevention of emergency situations and preparedness to respond to them, including through emergency response simulation exercises
- Awareness that waste reduction and the continual improvement of processes and raw materials are essential to maintain competitiveness
- The establishment of mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers
- The involvement of third-party suppliers in environmental protection and in the protection of health and safety in the workplace
With regard to sustainability, the organisation ensures:

In upholding its fundamental principles of sustainable development, the organisation takes into account the following aspects:
- Environmental aspects, focusing on preventing resource depletion, careful selection of materials and resources used, reducing emissions, and protecting the natural environment in relation to environmental impacts
- Social aspects, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements for the execution of work activities, as well as occupational health and safety, and safeguarding civil liberties, social justice, and the rights of all persons without any discrimination, as well as cultural aspects, through the continual promotion of equity and accessibility, while respecting the cultural heritage and religious sensitivities of all involved interested parties
- Economic aspects, assessing market capacity, the social economy, direct and indirect economic impacts, market presence, and risks arising from the organisation’s activities, while enhancing the direct and indirect impacts on the local economic environment
- The legal requirements to which the organisation is subject, continually evaluating compliance with them and verifying adherence to applicable regulations
- The qualification of the organisation’s suppliers and contractors in order to ensure compliance with its sustainable development principles
- Attention and focus on climate change and all potential emergency and disaster situations that may impact business continuity and the health and safety of personnel within the organisation
- Continual assessment of business continuity, including within the supply chain, to ensure that suppliers and contractors have also assessed emergency and disaster scenarios that may disrupt business continuity
- The involvement of all personnel within the organisation in identifying and considering potential occupational health and safety risks arising from new emergency and disaster scenarios, in order to plan appropriate corrective actions
