The diamond wire saw Mod. FB/G 210 is designed to cut marble, granite and stone blocks into slabs, thicknesses, and also to square blocks due to be subsequently cut with the gangsaws.
The main motor and the down cutting motor are activated through electronic inverters, which give the possibility to change both the peripheral speed of the wire and the down cutting speed. The two inverters are connected to each other, in such a way to adjust automatically the down cutting speed on the basis of the current absorption of the main motor. It is also possible to preset a slow speed in the initial cutting phase, therefore preventing any possible deviation of the tool when the wire is penetrating into the block.
The tensioning of the diamond wire is obtained by a pneumatic system instead of a hydraulic one. This means the system is not rigid; instead, it has a certain degree of elasticity, which makes it possible for the wire to adjust itself around its equilibrium position.
The block-carrying trolley is also operated through an inverter controlled motor and equipped with guiding wheels for accurate motion.
